Founded by Ana Lopez, a bilingual sexologist and sex coach, Sex in Spanglish is here to help Latinas heal from the cultural conditioning that’s held them back and reconnect with their pleasure—

Reclaiming the Word Sin Vergüenza: My Story of Sexual Liberation
At 16 I had sex for the very first time. The sex was good but there were no orgasms in sight - not even close. Three years and three partners later I finally orgasmed with someone we’ll call Alejandro.
Because of my previous sexual experiences, I assumed Alejandro was the reason I was orgasming - I gave him all the credit. This led me to stay in a complicated, unhealthy relationship with him for the next 8 years. It also led me to keep coming back to him no matter how shitty of a person he was - no one else made me cum. I was convinced he was the only way I would ever orgasm. I felt like I had to choose between a healthy, fulfilling relationship and a mind-blowing sex life - I chose mind-blowing sex.
Then, at 27, my life changed forever - I had an orgasm with someone who wasn’t Alejandro. This person had a completely different body type, dick size and shape, and sex style than Alejandro. This meant Alejandro couldn’t be the reason for my orgasms - the common denominator was me.
Over the next three years I was on a mission to discover all the ways I could orgasm. I experimented with positions, sexual acts, props and people. Rather than seeking out partners to "make me come" as I had in the past, I explored all the ways I could make myself cum. Any sexual pleasure that I experienced was because of me - It was never Alejandro. It was never the position, sexual act, prop, or person - it was me.
In other words, I hoed around so you don’t have to (unless you want to 😜) You already have everything you need to experience the pleasure you’ve been craving, you just need to unlock it. That’s where I come in. In just 3 months, I’ll teach you everything I’ve learned in 20 years, so you can experience mind-blowing sex whenever, wherever and with whoever you choose - sin vergüenza.
We are led to believe that our pleasure comes from something outside of us. No one is teaching us that our pleasure comes from us - not anyone or anything else. This led me to launch Sex in Spanglish in 2020.

We believe in sex ed that actually makes sense for us—one that speaks to our culture, our values, and the mixed messages we grew up with. Too many of us were taught to fear sex, feel ashamed of our desires, or put everyone else’s needs before our own. That ends here.
We believe your pleasure matters. Sex should be about you—what you want, what you need, and what actually feels good—without guilt, fear, or outdated beliefs holding you back.

With a Master’s in Human Sexualities Studies and ongoing work toward my doctorate in the same field, I back my coaching with solid, research-based knowledge. My experience isn’t just academic—it’s rooted in years of real, impactful work with high-achieving Latinas, where I’ve seen firsthand the transformative power of owning our desires sin vergüenza

I wanted the freedom to coach in a way that actually serves my community: culturally rooted, pleasure-focused, and outside the limits of a system that was never built for us in the first place.
